Terms of Use

This is the portfolio website of Katalaga Hakim, an e-commerce and WordPress manager based in Uganda working with clients globally. Using the site means accepting the terms below. They cover the website itself. Paid work is governed by whatever is agreed in writing for that project, and those terms take precedence over anything here.

What this site is for

The pages, articles and project examples here describe services and share what has worked in practice. They are published for general information. An article about Shopify, SEO, paid ads or automation is not advice for your particular store, account or situation, and acting on it is your own decision. Before making a change that affects revenue, tracking or live customer data, test it or ask someone to look at your specific setup.

Getting in touch is not yet an agreement

Sending an email or a WhatsApp message starts a conversation. It does not create a contract or reserve time. Work begins once scope, price and timing are agreed in writing, and what is agreed there governs the engagement.

Any rates or ranges on this site are indicative and current at the time of writing. Real pricing depends on the scope of the work. A written quote is the only figure to rely on.

Who owns what

The text, articles, images, layout and code of this site belong to Katalaga Hakim, except where something is credited to someone else. Reading it, sharing a link to it, and quoting a reasonable extract with attribution and a link back are all welcome — the articles are written to be quoted, and the site invites AI search crawlers for that reason. Republishing an article in full, or presenting the work here as your own, is not permitted without written permission.

Client names, logos and project screenshots remain the property of those clients and appear here as examples of work performed.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it, interfere with its availability, scrape it in a way that degrades service for others, or use it to distribute unlawful or harmful material. Automated access for search, indexing and AI retrieval is welcome within the limits set in robots.txt.

Links to other places

Contact links open email, WhatsApp, Signal or Calendly, and some pages link to client sites or third-party tools. Those services are run by other people under their own terms and privacy practices, and are not controlled from here. Following such a link is at your own discretion.

No warranty

This site is provided as it is. Reasonable care goes into keeping it accurate, available and secure, but it is not promised to be uninterrupted, error-free, or current on any given day. Articles are written at a point in time and platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, Google Ads and GoHighLevel change frequently.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Katalaga Hakim is not liable for loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including lost revenue, lost data, or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
